Yes, it’s the rice water rinse. This is one of the easiest and healthy homemade recipe for hair growth. Many women have questions about how to grow hair longer, or how to make them thicker and shinier. Rice water is the answer to your questions. Rice water helps improve hair growth, also helps in the regeneration of hair and, makes your tresses look healthier and smooth.
There are two common ways to make the rice water rinse:
1) Fermented Rice Water:
Take a small cup of rice and wash it thoroughly. Transfer the rice in a jar, preferably a glass jar. Try not to use plastic jars. Add one and a half cup water to it and close the jar. Leave it overnight. The water will turn cloudy white. Strain out the water and put it in a spray bottle.
2) Boiled Rice Water:
If you are generally extremely busy, which nowadays most of us are, then you can even boil the rice. Just wash a cup of rice, add double the quantity of water and, boil it. Strain the water when it becomes cloudy white, let it cool and transfer it in a spray bottle.
Once you are done with washing your hair, spray the rice water on to your scalp and hair, working outwards. Leave it on for 30 min and rinse your hair carefully. Some women leave it overnight, but practically there is not really a need to leave this water overnight in your hair as it starts to work on your hair soon after you have applied it. While using the rice water rinse method, rinsing with rice water should be the last step in your hair wash routine post which you should wash your hair with plain water. And that’s it…you’re done! You can repeat this method once a week.
